Jinggangshan University (JGSU simplified Chinese: 井冈山大学; traditional Chinese: 井岡山大學; pinyin: Jǐnggāngshān Dàxué) is in the Jinggangshan Mountains in Qingyuan District, J
i’an city of Jiangxi province in China.[1] Supported by the Ministry of Education and the Jiangxi Provincial Government, JGU provides comprehensive higher education across various disciplines, including a well-respected MBBS program for international students.
JGSU is jointly supported by the Ministry of Education of the People’s Republic of China and the People’s Government of Jiangxi Province, paired with Tongji University, and authorized by the Nanjing Military Region for the cultivation of military talents and cadres. Founded in 1958, Jinggangshan University has a rich history rooted in the revolutionary spirit of the Jinggangshan Mountains. In 1927, Mao Zedong and his colleagues established the first rural revolutionary base in these mountains.
