Changsha Medical University

Changsha Medical University (长沙医学院) is a full-time private, non-profit medical university in Changsha, Hunan Province. The university is administered in Hunan and operates from 1501 Leifeng Avenue in Changsha.

The latest international-student brochure describes 16 colleges, 37 undergraduate majors, 388 laboratories and training facilities that include a clinical skills centre and medical simulation facilities. The same brochure says the university has enrolled international students from more than 30 countries and regions since 2009.

Students planning to practise medicine or dentistry in Pakistan should also check the current licensing and recognition requirements that apply to their own graduation year before enrolment.

For international undergraduate applicants, Changsha Medical University lists Clinical Medicine as a five-year program. In the latest international-student brochure, the teaching language for Clinical Medicine is listed as Chinese.

Applicants to Chinese-taught undergraduate programs who already meet the required Chinese-language standard may enter professional study directly. Students who do not yet meet the required level may need one year of Chinese-language training before beginning the degree program.
